In addition to mail forwarding options, email can be retrieved from POP3 mail accounts using a program like Eudora, Outlook, Netscape Mail, or Internet Mail. As part of our services we can set POP3 accounts for you.

** Important **

The standard max. storage allowance for your POP3 account is 5MB. If your disk space allocation is near or at capacity, you will not be able to receive POP email. We highly recommend that you do not let your disk space get close to the maximum limit.

The Master POP3 Account

By default, all email addressed to your domain is forwarded to the default email forwarding address provided when you sign up for any of our turn key solutions. As such, email addressed to anyone@yourdomain.com will be forwarded to your local email address (as provided by your local ISP). An alternative to having mail forwarded is to retrieve mail from POP3 accounts.

To recap, the master POP3 account is merely an alternative to the default mail forwarding address. If we remove the default mail forwarding address all that was normally forwarded to that address will be held in the master POP account on your U.S. server.

Configurable POP3 Accounts

As described above we can set up POP3 accounts for specific email addresses. For example, emails addressed to sales@yourdomain.com will be held in a private POP3 account accessed with a unique user id and password.

** Important **
